I met Clara in 2011 in San Diego. She had recently been rescued from the streets of Mexico, and she was very shy. I instantly knew she was the dog for me. Clara became my running companion and adventure buddy. She moved to Colorado with me in 2015 and became an avid trail runner and hiker. She was my Dog of Honor when I got married. She welcomed a younger dog sister, Ruby, into our family and they became buds, and then a human brother. She guarded our home and talked to everyone who walked by our yard. She was the softest, squishy-necked friend, and we will be finding her fur in our belongings for many years to come. I am so grateful for our 15 years together.
